Florida has over 700 natural artesian springs scattered throughout the state, but most are located in the central, northern, and panhandle regions. Florida has one of the highest concentrations of springs anywhere on the planet, and although they are not all worth mentioning, they are certainly worthy of their own page here. While living in Florida, visiting these springs was probably my favorite thing to do. Below is a directory of all the springs I have visited with pictures, descriptions, and directions.

I know, there are just so many on my list still! I’ve been right near Three Sisters Springs a couple of times now when taking boats through Crystal River out to the Gulf, but never had the time to stop and check it out. Unfortunately I no longer live in Florida so it may be a while before I get to visits any springs again. I spend most of my vacation time out west if I go anywhere out of state these days.
