In my years of hiking, my most memorable times were the loop up Pine river, over to Valecito River, then down to the trail head. The trail of Flint Lake is right out of a commercial for Coors Beer. A difficult trip was to take the train to new York Creek at the Nettleton way point. Hike through Chicago basin and hike over Columbine Pass. The hike, even though down all the way to Valecito River is difficult.
