Alexander Springs

Description:

Alexander Springs is a 1st magnitude spring located in the Ocala National Forest. The spring itself is in the center of a 250 foot diameter pool. The edges of the pool are shallow and gradually get deeper as you approach the spring. Thick vegetation lines the bottom of the pool near the drop off, which is about 30ft deep. The water that flows from the spring forms Alexander Creek. You can rent a canoe or kayak from the concession stand to canoe down the Creek, but they are not allowed in the spring area.

This spring is a lot more impressive than my pictures make it out to be.
